Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 Arrives At Dealerships

The updated Pulsar 150 could be around Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 more expensive than its BS4 iteration

  • The BS6 Pulsar 150 has received a minor cosmetic update as well.
  • It might have slightly different power and torque figures than the BS4 model.
  • Expect Bajaj to officially launch the motorcycle soon.

After launching the BS6 Platina and the CT range, Bajaj is slated to add another updated motorcycle to its lineup as the BS6 Pulsar 150 has started reaching dealerships. As of now there’s no word on the prices, but we expect the BS6 variant to be around Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 more expensive than the BS4 model, which retails at Rs 89,837 (ex-showroom).

The updated Pulsar 150 has received a minor cosmetic update -- this time in the form of restyled graphics and a carbon fibre finish on the side panels. Apart from that, the BS6 Pulsar 150 is pretty much unchanged on the cosmetic front.

The new Pulsar 150 has just started reaching dealerships so we haven’t heard anything yet from our sources or from Bajaj about the mechanical changes. Bajaj is yet to announce the power and torque figures of the BS6 Pulsar 150. However, we expect the updated motorcycle to have slightly different power and torque figures from the older model. For perspective, the BS4 Pulsar 150 is powered by a 149.5cc engine which churns out 14PS at 8,000rpm and 13.4Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.

Bajaj hasn’t changed the underpinnings of the BS6 Pulsar 150. So it continues to get a telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking hardware consists of twin discs at both ends with single-channel ABS offered as standard.

The Pulsar 150 is the most popular motorcycle in Bajaj’s lineup and even though it hasn’t received a major update for quite some time now, it has continued to be the volume seller for the bike maker. And with the BS6 Pulsar 150 already reaching dealerships, we can expect more motorcycles from the Pulsar family getting an update real soon.

In terms of competition, it goes up against the TVS Apache RTR 160 and the Honda CB Unicorn 150.
