It's been a long time coming but the CFMoto 300SR has finally been unveiled in its production form, and boy does it look good! Best part, it will make its way to India pretty soon with an expected price tag of around Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The 300cc supersport will take on the likes of the Apache RR 310 which has been thoroughly revised for 2020. You can read our first ride impressions of the BS6 RR 310 here.
As for the CFMoto 300SR, it’s powered by a 292cc, single-cylinder liquid cooled DOHC engine that makes 29.2PS at 8750rpm and 25.3Nm at 7250rpm -- 1.33PS and 0.3Nm more than the 300NK. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch.
Note though that the CFMoto 300SR currently uses a Euro 4 compliant engine, so we expect power figures to change when it’s updated to meet Euro 5/ BS6 emission norms.

In terms of underpinnings, it uses a trellis frame, USD fork and a monoshock. However, we believe its suspension setup may be tweaked to be on the firmer side. Anchoring the bike are disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
Coming to its styling, the bike looks sharp and aggressive with a full fairing and a tall windscreen to slice through the air, clip-on handlebars, rear-set footpegs and a split seat. On the feature front, the 300SR gets LED lights all around and a full-digital instrument console with two different interfaces and smartphone connectivity.
The 300SR will join CFMoto’s existing India portfolio which consists of naked streetfighters, tourers and grand tourers, thus spoiling customers in terms of options. The bike seems promising and may help reel in numbers for the brand.
