  • The motorcycle will reportedly be called the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball.
  • Going by the leaked price, the bike is around Rs 11,900 dearer than the Thunderbird 350.
  • Various accessories like windshield, metal bash plate, panniers, pillion backrests will be available.
  • Expect Royal Enfield to launch the motorcycle once the market stabilises after the pandemic is contained.

The price of the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been leaked online. According to the leaked images of the online bike configurator, the bike costs Rs 1,68,550 (ex-showroom), including five accessories.  Expect the price of the stock bike to be a bit lower than that. But as per the leaked price, it is around Rs 11,900 dearer than the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350. That’s pretty reasonable considering this spiritual successor to the Thunderbird 350 will feature a host of changes and a brand new powertrain. We’ve contacted Royal Enfield for a comment regarding the authenticity of the leaked images and are yet to hear from them.

The images also reveal the name of the bike as the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball. The ‘Meteor’ moniker was trademarked in May 2019. The last time Royal Enfield offered a motorcycle with the Meteor name was back in the 1950s. Coming back to the motorcycle, the leaked configurator also reveals accessories like panniers, bash plate, footpegs, windshield (the flyscreen pictured costs Rs 1,750), seats and backrests. Most of these accessories were available for the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and Thunderbird 350X as well.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball will pack an all-new air-cooled BS6-compliant powertrain with an overhead camshaft. Expect the engine to make slightly more power and torque than the older-generation motor. The bike is likely to be equipped with a 6-speed transmission, which could considerably enhance its highway touring characteristics.

Other notable features include a halogen headlamp with a circular DRL and twin-pod asymmetric instrument cluster, which is likely to house a digital inset too. It also gets a split seat setup and split grab rails for an added sporty appeal. Head here to find out what more you could expect from the Meteor.

Expect Royal Enfield to launch the Meteor 350 Fireball once the market stabilises after the coronavirus pandemic is contained. Once launched, it will go up against the Bajaj Dominar 250, Jawa Forty Two BS6 and the upcoming Benelli Imperiale 400 BS6.
