This is the second price increase since the scooter’s BS6 launch
TVS rolled in another BS6 scooter yesterday by launching the Scooty Zest 110 BS6, accompanied by a price hike. That’s not all, though, because it has just hiked prices of its popular Jupiter scooter once again. Back in June, the Jupiter got away with a hike of just over Rs 600, but this time, the increment is bigger. Despite the increase in price, there are no changes to the scooter itself.
Prices of all three variants have been hiked by an equal amount, making the Jupiter nearly Rs 10,000 more expensive than it was in the BS4 era. TVS is obviously struggling to make the scooter economically viable because despite doing away with a front disc brake and increasing prices significantly at the time of its BS6 launch, it has still needed to drive up prices on two further occasions in a matter of months. We hope we’ve now finally seen the last of the hikes with this Rs 1,040 increase.
