From scooters to supersports and ADVs, and even a new brand entry, May looks hot

April was peppered with interesting launches, and now, May looks equally hot with several launches for diverse enthusiasts. Take a look at what’s on the menu this month:

TVS NTorq 125 Race XT:

TVS recently teased a new variant of the NTorq 125, likely to be called the XT. This variant will likely be launched in the first week, and sources in the know have revealed it will be around Rs 8,000 over the current top-end Race XP variant, which retails at Rs 89,211 (ex-showroom Delhi). It could come with both aesthetic and mechanical upgrades, and you can read all about it in our analysis here.

2022 KTM RC 390:

After multiple delays and chip-shortage woes, the 2022 KTM RC 390 is finally set for a launch this month. It’s a major upgrade over the current-gen RC 390 as it gets design updates, better breathing for the engine, lighter underpinnings, and better ergonomics. The supersport is likely to be priced at around Rs 2.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Check out everything you need to know about the upcoming RC here.

2022 KTM 390 Adventure:

Team Orange isn’t done yet, as KTM is all set to launch the 2022 390 Adventure too. In fact, the bike already reached a few dealerships a few months ago, but a proper launch and full-fledged deliveries are all set to happen this month. The updated iteration comes with a few nifty updates aimed at offering a better riding experience. While the current 390 Adventure retails at Rs 3,28,443 (ex-showroom Delhi), the updated ADV should command a premium of around Rs 5,000.

Triumph Tiger 1200:

Triumph’s biggest, brawniest ADV, the Tiger 1200, will also be launched in the first week of this month. The ADV will likely be launched in the Explorer trim under both GT and Rally variants. The updated ADV is lighter, meaner, and even more feature-packed. The top-end variants get a massive 30-litre fuel tank and radar-assisted riding aids.

Ducati Scrambler 800 Urban Motard:

Ducati has been proactively launching new products every month, and this time around, it will be the Scrambler 800 Urban Motard. This is essentially a concoction of the Scrambler Icon and the Hypermotard 950, offering the best of both worlds, armed with spoked wheels, off-road-esque fenders and Pirelli DIablo Rosso III tyres, making it an ideal machine to take on the urban jungle.

Keeway K-light Series:

For representation

Hungarian company Keeway sent out a ‘Block Your Date’ invite for this month. The bikemaker is owned by Chinese manufacturer Zhejiang Qianjiang Motors, which, interestingly, also owns Benelli. Consequently, we expect the two companies to share their platforms. Not surprisingly, Keeway had released a teaser of a cruiser, which is likely to be based on the Benelli 502 C, possibly launching in the middle of the month.
